Welcome.

I'm a graphic and interactive designer. I live in New York City, but frequent Los Angeles. This is where I toss my ridiculous ideas, conversations, inspirations, etc. I can be reached at info@ashleysimko.com

Wallet by Comme des Garçons, nails by Salley Hansen… Several months ago, I finally tried Salley Hansen’s Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. Despite a slight learning curve, they’re actually fairly easy to apply. My first attempt was a solid color, my next was the Tweed-le Dee pattern shown above. To be honest, my favorite things about them are that they don’t smell (so you can apply them while trapped in a confined space with strangers flying) and don’t chip. Still worried about the tacky factor? It’s not necessary, but I’ve found that a coat of clear polish on top tends to make them look less like stickers and more like enamel.
