Once upon a time, while fleeing Los Angeles, I was given a banana to eat on the way to the airport. Predictably, I shoved the banana into the side pocket of my laptop carrier and forgot about it. Two weeks later, I reached into the pocket and found a very unpleasant surprise - when I pulled my hand out it was covered in what resembled Nickelodeon Gack (circa ‘90) but was actually slimy banana.
