The more I watch her performances and read her interviews, the more I see Lady Gaga (real name Joanne Stefani Germanotta) as an actual artist rather than some corporate creation that’s trying to sing a few catchy pop tunes. I think that her method of merging performance art and music, passion for designing high fashion, and her obsession with creating innovative stage props could definitely make her a contender to surpass the success of Kanye West (in all of his arrogant glory). It also doesn’t hurt that she writes her own music, is “classically trained” in piano and that her voice doesn’t depend on auto tone… Acoustic proof.
