Several years ago, I met Otto Bell for the first time at a Banksy show. We became fast friends and vowed to always do our best to see his work together. Until recently (when I was unable to attend), we’d kept to that. About a month ago, I arrived at my apartment only to have the doorman hand me a mysterious tube. In it was a signed Mr. Brainwash poster and a lovely note from Otto. It’s comforting to know that even when work gets in the way of play, we’ll always honor our pact and friendship.
For those unfamiliar with Mr. Brainwash, this (or this) might be a good place to start…

It still remains to be confirmed by the artist at this point, but it appears that the above piece is the newest Banksy, according to street art fans and aficionados. A similar image is currently on display at Bristol Museum vs. Banksy. This piece is located atop the Great Western Studios Building in Westbourne Park, London. (via)
“My job occasionally requires a little light law-breaking, so I’ve never confirmed or denied my identity. If I keep my head down, I have a bright future in vandalism ahead of me.”

Banksy Costume by Jason McDowell…
My new and improved Banksy costume, fully completed with white painted shoes, a proper black face mask, and, of course, the white face paint. It really was worth it to go that extra distance. Thanks for the encouragement, Ragdoll. (via)
I think it’s already been established that I have a slight obsession with anything involving Banksy.
