Stop motion video of ABGC Architects building a boardroom table out of Legos for Boys and Girls

A monolithic slab made up of a random pattern of the instantly recognizable lego pixels, with the company’s logo is built in relief into the table top, falling away under a glass surface. Architects don’t normally work as contractors so it was hugely rewarding for us and financially efficient for our client when we decided to build the table ourselves.

The table consists of 22,742 pieces clicked together with traditional lego construction techniques (no glue), a 136mm grommet is located in its center. It sits on a polished stainless steel square hollow section structure built by B.A. Engineering and is topped with a 10mm sheet of toughened glass manufactured by Action Glass. (via)

Photograph of Richard Meier (lost in Lego construction) by Peggy Sirota…

Guess Who, Peggy Sirota’s debut book is a tongue-in-cheek homage to the celebrity phenomenon that seems to be present everywhere. Sirota asked various celebrities, athletes and musicians to lend their image for an AIDS charity. The reader will be teased, challenged and surprised while looking at the photographs trying to figure out who’s who. For Guess Who 172 personalities play along and actually let go of their celebrity identity. It is a great visual feast with a witty sense of humor. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to AIDS Project Los Angeles.

Alexis Hyde gets all the credit for finding this little gem.
